You’re interested in working with me? Great! I'm looking forward to meeting you, learning more about your business, and figuring out how I can help.
Before we do that, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself and the sort of projects I like to work on. That’ll save both of us time by making sure we’re a good fit.
I like to work closely with early-stage businesses that want to take an idea and turn it into a fully functional web application.
I'm good at:
taking a general idea for an online business or project and then shaping it into a reliable web application. This often means breaking a project down into all of its features and then understanding which bits are the most critical. I do my best to explain the tradeoffs of adding or removing different features and then suggest faster or more reliable ways to get things done when I can.
building a simple and easy to use interface. If you have detailed designs for an application. I am more than happy to follow them. If you don’t know how you want the application to look like, I can help by proposing a clear design that focuses on making the application easy to use. I test my designs with real users before and after they are implemented to make sure that your web application is a pleasure to use.
taking care of all the extra stuff like analytics, setting up payment, a mailing list, seo, etc. Rather than having to shop around for multiple freelancer to take care of each part of the process of getting an idea off the ground I can help with all the fiddly details of launching a web application.
My projects start at $5,000 and I am currently taking bookings for December 2018.
I only work directly with small teams or business owners. I enjoy collaborating with other freelancers but I refuse to work with middle management.
The easiest way to get started is by booking a consultation.
I will listen to what you want to do and honestly tell you if its something I can help with. If it’s not I’ll do my best to connect you to someone who can.
Consultation are free but I can only do them on Fridays.
After a consultation, if we think we are good fit for each other, I usually begin a project by putting a proposal together.
I’ll need to ask you a few preliminary questions about the project to be able to begin. We can do this over a short Skype conversation or by email.
Once I have understood what needs to be done, my proposal will outline how I can help solve your problem, what you options are, what my solution could look like, how much it will cost and how long it will take.
Here are some examples or some of past proposals:
- This architecture for a polling application http://palpoll.surge.sh/
- This design for a wildlife souvenir shop http://templetree.surge.sh/
- This redesign of a commitment application http://joshpitzalis.github.io/beeProposal/
Each proposal is unique but I usually include a wireflows for the entire system so that you can see how many screens there are and how they connect to each other, wireframes for one or two pages and then the final design of one screen so that you can picture how it would look and feel.
Proposals cost $630 and they take 10 days to 2 weeks to develop.
The reason I charge for proposals is because they are a lot of work. Moreover, they are not templates, they are custom solutions to each project I work on.
If you have any questions, feel free to book a consultation or if you’d like to contact me directly, the best way to get in touch is via email.
